I started my third project with Pearson today! Actually I’m not scoring this time, I was personally snagged by the project director from a briefer mid-July shindig because she thinks I do outstanding work (or something).
This time around, I (and 3 dudes who are pretty chill and nice) am handling the submitted portfolios for teachers trying to get their National Board of Professional Teaching Standards certification or renew it. Except the portfolios aren’t in nice binders like on my last project, instead they’re in pissy Tyvek envelopes which take forever to open. BUT, that’s my only gripe. Also I don’t have the guys’ upper-body strength, though I’ve managed not to drop any giant boxes on my face - YET. I’m 5’9”, nonathletic, and female. Suck ittttttt~
Anyway, should be a good run with plenty of downtime. Which is both good (getting paid to doodle is always awesome) and bad (downtime is boring). I think I’m going to read Charles Mann’s 1491 and 1493 this summer, at least, that’s my goal. Fuck you, GRE, I’ll study in August.
Pic related: it’s how I felt walking into work this morning :D
